Sheriff’s Patrol
The Callaway County
Sheriff’s Patrol is an all volunteer organization who’s
members are committed to promoting law and order in the community.
Many patrol members have completed varied levels of post high
school education or military service and are currently in private practice
or employed with a local entity. Every member of
the Callaway County Sheriff’s Patrol has graduated a certified
Law Enforcement Academy and is a POST certified Law Enforcement
Officer empowered with the full Powers of Arrest.
Mission Statement:
To support the elected Sheriff of Callaway County; to serve and
protect the citizens of the same by safely enforcing the law(s)
primarily in Callaway County and elsewhere in the state of Missouri
when called to do so without malice, undue delay, regard to race
gender, age or economic status.
Goals: To
safely execute all duties with the highest degree of professional
conduct and enthusiasm. To accept only the best qualified people
into the Sheriff’s Patrol. To safely work well with all
other’s, to prevent Criminal Offense’s and to help
prosecute Criminal Offender’s. To earn the respect of other
Officer’s, as well as the confidence and trust of the citizens,
which will be encountered. To never accept special treatment or
leave a Call For Service unanswered. To always show respect for the
profession of Law Enforcement. To obey and safely enforce the law(s)
in the state of Missouri.
At this time the Callaway County Sheriff’s
Patrol is seeking qualified applicants to become members.

Sheriff’s Department located at Rt. O P.O Box 817 Fulton, Mo.
65251.
Criteria: Volunteers
must be 21yrs of age and possess a HS Diploma.
Must be able to pass
an extensive Criminal Back Ground Check. Must be physically and
mentally able to perform the various duties associated with law
enforcement.
Must be able to take
copious notes and transcribe that information into detailed reports
in a timely manor. Must issue citations, make legal arrests, and
appear in court when required.
Must be available for
regular duty and unannounced crisis situations. Must be able to
remain professional and non-biased when enforcing the law and
interacting with the public. Must be willing to learn and able to
attend department training in order to stay abreast of current case
law, advanced law enforcement training techniques and procedures.
Must be motivated and maintain a neat professional appearance.
